The Beginnings
I have always loved being outdoors with nature. As a child, I spent hours playing in the meadow, creek, and woodlands where my grandparents had a cottage. Hiking trails was a regular part of our family time on weekends. My mother's love of flower gardening was passed on to me, and I remember trying to learn the different species from a pictoral guide book.  Treating illness with home remedies was the common place to begin while growing up, and so began my journey to becoming an herbalist.

In 2007,  I noticed a slow descent in my health, which became increasingly pronounced over the next 3 years. Life as I knew it had drastically changed. A diagnosis of Lyme Disease with several co-infections was finally made, which gave me some sort of relief. Then came the treatment plan- a stringent course of antibiotics was the daily routine, followed by gut pain and yeast infections. Periodic IV's of vitamins, and other supplements was critical to detoxify my body. I was in the doctor's office every 4-6 weeks for nearly the next 2 years. It was during this time that the importance of holistic natural healing became very clear to me.

It was not until 2010 that I made a deliberate decision to enroll in a formal course of study which took me three years to complete (but a student I will always be). What drove me was out of necessity. I needed to know and understand how to regain my health as naturally as possible, and keep my family healthy.  My education was a unique blend of "planetary herbology", integrating the ancients of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda with Western herbal medicine.  While in California, I had the priviledge of being taught by renowned professionals who helped chart the course for the resurgence of natural healing in this country.

It's my desire to share what I've learned about health, healing and wellness with those who want to learn and explore that path. Nutrition, sleep, exercise, and a positive mental attitude all play a role in maintaining a well balanced system. Everything God has created has a purpose, so live life to the fullest!

"You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."
